Re-building the terrace.
The main on-going project is the re-building of the terrace. This provided a beautiful view in Ellen Willmott’s time but trees now block the vista. The brickwork was in a dangerous condition and rebuilding has been in progress for several years. The centre section is now in progress, after which one of the sets of steps at the side will be tackled; the other may be left in the state in which it was found as an illustration of the magnitude of the task completed.
